The 52nd Annual NAACP Image Awards, which aired March 28 on BET, honored the best in film and television – from Issa Rae and Octavia Spencer to Marsai Martin and Bridgerton’s Regé-Jean Page.
But regardless of who went home (or, rather stayed home) with trophies, everyone showed up in style. Despite a lack of red carpet, the award show attendees made sure to uphold the high glam dress code. Both nominees and presenters leaned heavily into the spirit of the evening, showing off their glamorous looks, some even turning their backyards into photoshoot sets. Here are some of our favorites looks from the 2021 NAACP Image Awards:
1. Issa Rae
Issa Rae wore the dreamiest flowy, white gown from Prada. She was styled by Jason Rembert and Kristina Elaine Taylor. Special mention goes out to her hair and makeup team, Felicia Leatherwood and Joanna Simkin, for the impeccable up-do and soft glam makeup to match.
2. Yara Shahidi
Embracing the work from home ethos, Yara Shahidi had on a Christian Dior loungewear set, styled by Jason Bolden. She had a smooth ponytail with braided embellishments on the side courtesy of Kendall Dorsey and impeccable beauty by Emily Cheng. We truly wish this could be our everyday OOTD.
3. Janelle Monáe
Janelle Monáe wore a gorgeous and sleek gown from Christian Siriano and jewelry from Jennifer Fisher for the occasion. She had blonde curls and a classic Hollywood makeup look, thanks to Nikki Nelms, Alexandra Mandelkorn, and Emily Cheng.
4. Regina King
