Every year, Amazon’s Prime Day offers thousands of deals on the site’s products, from electronics to books and art supplies. This year, the 48-hour event will begin at 12 a.m. PDT on Monday, June 21 and conclude at 11:59 p.m. PDT on Tuesday, June 22.

Prime Day has deals across all of Amazon’s categories. We can’t be sure exactly what will be on sale, but there are always plenty of discounts on electronics, particularly Amazon’s own Kindle e-readers, Fire tablets, and Alexa smart speakers. It’s also a great opportunity to pick up equipment and materials for the studio. To get access to the deals, however, you have to be an Amazon Prime subscriber.

Amazon Prime costs $12.99 a month or $119 a year. Its benefits include faster shipping on Amazon orders, discounts at Whole Foods, and access to Amazon’s streaming entertainment. However, you can also pick up a free 30-day trial of Prime here in time for the shopping day. When the deals launch we’ll be sure to find the most relevant sales for our readers.

In the meantime, ARTnews Recommends offers hundreds of guides to the best products for artists, which can be found here. If you’re thinking about upgrading your domestic or studio space this spring, we’ve got reviews of  lighting options and shelving. If you want to experiment with a new medium, we’ve searched out the best art and craft tools, as well as monthly art subscription boxes and how-to books. And if you’re taking your art on the road this summer, you’ll find suggestions for plein air painting supplies, sturdy travel bags for carrying your equipment, pocket-size journals, and more.

Stay tuned to this page for up-to-the-minute information on Prime Day dates and great deals for artists!
