Today, increased media consumption across channels and platforms means that brands like yours need to produce exceptional content that can capture attention and delight audiences. But this is a challenge.

As marketers rely on video marketing to stand out from the pack, the right music and sound becomes increasingly important to creating stellar visual campaigns that make people stop, listen and engage.

That’s why regardless of your industry, selecting the right music for your marketing videos can make all the difference. Not only does music have a massive impact on how potential customers perceive your brand, it can also increase awareness about your products and services and lead to more site visits, demo requests and ultimately, sales.

On the flip side, poor music choices can turn customers away. If the music in your company’s Explainer video, for example, greatly distracts from the message, you risk losing customers who may make negative assumptions about your company and what you have to offer.

Bringing music to the forefront of your video projects

To empower more marketers to create thumb-stopping video content with engaging, on-brand music, we’re excited to announce our integration with Splice, an intuitive in-app video editor tool. The partnership offers Splice users direct access to our PRO-Free music library, which includes 5,500+ high-quality music tracks across genres, moods and instruments.

This integration, powered by our API, solves a major pain point for Splice users who were in need of new ways to engage their audiences with meaningful video content across social media and the web. Splice knew through their research that to help their users accomplish this, they needed to offer a diverse and vast music library — directly from within the app.

“We were looking for a provider who was willing to work with us and help provide just what our users needed,” said Dhwani Mehta, Product Manager at Splice. “We needed to offer premium quality, royalty-free tracks covering a wide variety of moods and genres, and Shutterstock was able to provide exactly that!”

How the integration works:

Splice users will now get direct access to a wide variety of music tracks from Shutterstock’s PRO-Free Music collection. These tracks cover a wide range of genres and moods to ensure that users can find the perfect track for their videos. And because of Shutterstock’s powerful metadata, users can also easily search by keywords, categories and more to find exactly what they’re looking for.

The music is also royalty-free which is beneficial for mobile-first social media influencers and content creators.

To access Shutterstock music within the music search experience, you can now simply:

  1. Download the Splice Video Editor App.
  2. Tap on the music feature at the bottom of the timeline.
  3. Select your preferred mood and genre.
  4. Pick your favorite song!

If you’re looking to maximize your marketing efforts, the music choices you make for your video campaigns play a critical role in engaging potential customers and staying top of mind. Through our integration with Splice, we’re thrilled to offer an exciting option that will enhance your content and keep your target audiences coming back for more.
