In preparation for the release of their upcoming dance-pop song “Butter,” the BTS members have debuted new hair colors and the colorful array is perfect for summer.

New “Butter” portraits of all seven members were added to the BTS Global Official Fanclub early this morning, showing off their new ‘dos. The most dramatic hair transformations in this new era appear to belong to RM, J-Hope, and Jungkook. Despite saying he wouldn’t go back to pink late last year, RM, once again, currently sports a cotton candy pink wash in his hair. He tweeted some recent photos of himself and his dog, casually showing off the new look.

J-Hope, on the other hand, is now vintage blonde, joining the ranks of stars like Billie Eilish and Selena Gomez, who’ve recently also debuted bleached blonde shades. Jimin has also gone back to platinum blonde, while Jin’s hair remains a light brown shade, V rocks a chestnut brown, and Suga’s also remains dark brown.

The new pictures also confirm the youngest of the group, Jungkook, has dyed his hair purple — a theory some fans had already correctly predicted. Earlier this week, RM tweeted a mirror selfie and from behind him is a speck of purple, which some fans correctly guessed to be Jungkook. This suspicion was only strengthened coupled with a preview video where Jungkook’s hair appeared indigo under the colored lights.

Any ARMY will tell you that part of the anticipation for new music drops is the hair change, and this time is clearly no different. With “Butter” out on May 21 and a full teaser schedule to follow, which includes the unveiling of teaser photos starting May 9, the debut of these new hair colors is undeniably building anticipation – and Twitter’s trending topics reflect that.
