Chloe and Halle Bailey, better-known together as Chloe x Halle, have been making headlines for a few years now. Growing up in the public eye as an up-and-coming R&B duo, the sisters are no strangers to success. They’ve opened for Beyoncé and JAY-Z, starred in Ivy Park campaigns, and walked the runway for brands like Dolce&Gabbanna. All the while, they’ve secured roles in major Hollywood productions — both together in Grown-ish, the popular Freeform series, and solo (Halle is set to star as Ariel in the highly-anticipated live-action remake of The Little Mermaid).

But regardless of their ever-growing list of successes, one thing that remains consistent in the sisters’ lives is their style. Both Chloe and Halle always bring their A-game when it comes to fashion, often finding ways to match without truly matching. Whether they’re playing with funky silhouettes or rocking fun colors, the two girls always serve up serious style inspo. From streetwear ‘fits to red carpet glam and beyond, here are some of our favorite looks from Chloe x Halle.

September 2021 – Back Together

On September 8, the sister duo attended one of their first events together since Halle returned from filming The Little Mermaid in Europe. The sisters showed up at a Bulgari event during New York Fashion Week (where they also performed) wearing coordinating slip gowns and jewels galore. Halle sported a white dress and her hair down, while Chloe opted for the same silhouette in black and an updo. “Ooooo we cute,” Chloe wrote on Twitter, retweeting a video from the night.

November 2020 – People’s Choice Awards

Chloe x Halle took coordination to the next level with their metallic People’s Choice Awards outfits. At first, the sisters’ catsuits might look identical but the devil is in the detail. The built-in exposed thong nod was slightly thicker on Chloe’s and Halle’s featured a deep V neck as opposed to a turtleneck but the symbiosis of the two was perfect. Featuring hyper exaggerated shoulder pads and high-heeled leggings detailings, the ‘fits had a retro flair but a futuristic touch at the same time. According to JustJaredJr., the looks were custom by Rey Ortiz. The sisters also donned matching hairstyles and makeup but different jewelry.

October 2020 – Taking a Stand

For their live rendition of “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” which was unveiled in their YouTube channel and social media accounts on October 25, the sisters appeared clad in co-ordinating suits celebrating Blackness. Appearing almost like newspapers, the duo’s suits paid tribute to multiple elements that make up Black communities, from unparalleled music to HBCUs. The pieces were also emblazoned with the name and faces of victims of police brutality like Breonna Taylor. Matching the song’s message to perfection, the pair clearly knows how fashion can help make a statement and this is the perfect proof.

August 2020 – Up-Armored

For their performance of “Ungodly Hour” at the MTV VMAs 2020, the sister duo appeared donning armor-like silver bodysuits complete with thigh-high boots and dangly headpieces. In case the fashion wasn’t great enough, they also killed it on the beauty front. Chloe’s hair was styled in a maxi braid, while Halle’s updo featured diamond embellishments.

June 2020 — Queens in Monochrome

For their BET Awards 2020 virtual performance, the sisters stunned in not one but two ‘fits. For their live rendition of “Forgive Me,” they donned coordinating black, latex suits with shoulder pads that were quite literally out of this world. When it came time for their hit “Do It,” the sisters traded black for white, sporting an athleisure-inspired reflective combo that looked as bright as their future.
