How Would You Style This? – A Well Styled Life

Happy Wednesday ladies. I spent another 3 hours in the dental chair yesterday, which is getting old! Three dentists inside of 3 weeks for the same two teeth! Sheesh. Anywho…I’m back today with a mannequin throw-down. Just kidding. I was able to try on what this gal was modeling and got a surprise so decided we could have fun chatting about it.

Please share how you might style this look for your shape and lifestyle and tell us why or why not.

Some merchandisers get creative when dressing their mannequins which can give us styling ideas, or cause confusion.

Here I am in the same look.

WEARING – OPEN SLEEVE SWEATER

I love crisp poplin and thought this skirt would be fun for summer. The problem is, it’s not a skirt.

WEARING – COTTON SLEEVELESS DRESS

It’s a sleeveless dress. I love the black and white combo. I also loved the sweater with the open sleeves that comes in some gorgeous colors. I can see wearing multiple ways, just not over this dress.

WEARING – GINGHAM SHIRT I know the shirt is at Nordstrom but can’t locate the link

If I felt the need to provide arm coverage I’d probably top it with a gingham shirt. There’s a less abrupt color change plus the shirt allows me to pop the collar, and cinch the waist. You also get a longer view of the torso on the dress which helps me look taller.

What about you?

Would you have been confused by this mannequin styling?
