Migos named the 15th track on Culture III after Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Culture III will be the fourth studio album by the Atlanta area hip-hop trio. It is slated to be released on Friday, June 11. While “Need It” and “Straightenin” have been released as singles, the long-awaited album’s most interesting track might be the one named after “Mahomes”. There are 19 tracks on the the third installment of the Culture Trilogy, but No. 15 has Kansas City’s eye.

When you get a song named after you, that is when you know you have made it as an athlete.

KC Chiefs: Migos named the 15th track on Culture III after Patrick Mahomes

Migos are huge sports fans to begin with, usually rocking with their hometown teams. But even in the midst of being a long-suffering Atlanta area sports fan, you can appreciate across any sport. In four years with the Chiefs, Mahomes has ascended to superstardom. He has won NFL MVP and Super Bowl MVP. Mahomes is awesome, so why would Migos name No. 15 after … Al Horford?

It would be a totally different song. When you think of Mahomes, you think of quarterbacking brilliance and having a great time doing what you love at the highest of levels. Only entering his prime, Mahomes is an inspiration for all of us to go out and try to achieve greatness in our lives, no matter our weaknesses or limitations. For Migos to name a song after him, that is a huge deal.

Look for Chiefs Kingdom to blast some “Mahomes” during the rowdiest of tailgates this fall.
