Niko Price respectfully calls out the Diaz brothers, ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone, and anyone in the rankings following UFC Vegas 38 victory.
After notching a unanimous decision win over Alex Oliveira at UFC Vegas 38, Niko Price has laid out several options for who he’d like to face next.
Price is eyeing fighters in the welterweight division’s top-15 or anybody who’s considered a big name.
“I’m looking for a top1-5 or just a big name,” Price said during his post-fight interview. “You know like one of these Diaz guys, they’re back, and they’re always down to bang. Hey, I’m one of those bangers too. I’d like to classify myself with them.”
The 32-year-old is also open to revisiting a past matchup with Donald Cerrone that ended in a majority draw (later ruled a no-contest).
“Dude I’m always down to get back in there with him,” Price confirmed. “He’s an amazing fighter and one of my idols. So what’s better than fighting an idol? To me, I’d love to fight Donald again, but that’s up to the bosses upstairs ya know?”
Niko Price saw Alex Oliveira crying on way to the Octagon
“Oh yeah I saw him crying it scared the crap out of me I wasn’t expecting that,” he replied. “I was like what’s going on? I hope everything’s OK with him right now. No hate against him. I love him. He’s a good guy.”
Price has become a fan favorite over the years for his pedal to the metal fight style and creative finishes. He’s top-10 amongst welterweights in strikes landed per minute, while being willing to fight anyone, anytime.
