r/femalefashionadvice – Has anyone got swindled by “TRY AT HOME” from etailers?

I just got a bunch of dresses from Universal Standard. I used their “try at home” option powered by trynow.io – the fine print basically says you can try some items, choose what you want, and send back the rest. You only get charged for what you keep. I just tried to return some items and saw that some of them are unreturnable because they’re final sale. I feel so duped! There was nothing in the fine print around this and I feel like this is super unfair – if I had known they were not returnable, I obviously would not have wanted to try them at home. I already wrote into customer service to complain and am waiting to hear back, but I’m so terrified that they’re going to keep me on the hook for 5 dresses that fit absolutely horribly.
