Reds pitcher Wade Miley threw MLB’s fourth no-hitter of the season — and second in three days — on Friday. According to ESPN Stats & Info, it’s only the second time in league history that teams have pitched four no-nos before the end of May, the last time occurring on May 5, 1917.

Miley carried a perfect game into the sixth inning, walking one and striking out eight in the 114-pitch performance. And we all have Miley’s 4-year-old son, Jeb, to thank for it.

After the game, Miley credited Jeb for his no-hitter after the latter gave his father a temporary tattoo of the Hulk on his right forearm:

“I’ve got to give a little shout-out, my son made me wear this Hulk tattoo on my forearm,” Miley said. “I might have to get the real Hulk tattoo.”

According to ESPN Stats & Info, Wiley became only the second pitcher in MLB history to toss a no-hitter for his career seventh team. The only player to achieve that feat before him was the Marlins’ Edinson Volquez in 2017. Also — turn away, Indians fans — Cleveland is the third team in MLB history to see two no-hitters before June, following the 1917 White Sox and 1884 Alleghenys.

You could say Cleveland was … smashed.
